A bait finesse rod specialized for mountain streams has appeared in collaboration with Yamanami Shoten. Designed mainly for twitching sinking minnows, this lure has an easy-to-handle length of 4 feet 8 inches. The threads are also finished in brown color. The closing dimension is about 34.3 cm, and can be stored very compactly.
Yamanami Shoten special collaboration
A 4’8″ blank designed for use in mountain streams, especially headwaters, is designed and set so that a series of operations from casting to lure action and hooking are stress-free. We have pursued the ideal balance for mountain stream minnowing that is neither too soft nor too tight. From the tip to the belly, even a lightweight lure weighing around 3g can be weighted, and you can feel the flex, making it easy to cast. Side cast, backhand cast, flip cast, etc., can also be performed lightly.
Blanks & guide setting
YS408-5C uses a stainless Sic guide on a carbon blank. The closing dimensions of the small joint and the small diameter guide can be stored compactly when high winding is performed in the headwater area. The reel seat and grip are made of original wood (bird’s eye maple), and the reel hood and other parts are all original metal parts (gunmetal). All joints are spigot ferrules.
