The Majestic series from Shimano is an excellent choice for fresh and saltwater BFS fishing at an affordable price. Featuring carbon graphite blanks with responsive, fast action, the Majestic BFS rods are suitable for finesse and “power finesse” fishing and are perfect for targeting freshwater bass species, sea bass, and other light game. Majestic BFS rods load well for the long-distance casting of lures while having enough backbone to set single hook rigs. Equipped with a comfortable split grip configuration that combines cork and EVA foam for an ergonomic feel, durable O-Ring guides, and a Shimano reel seat, the Majestic offers the sensitivity and balance expected from an industry-leading brand. The included rod sleeve and the hook keeper are additional comforts that round out the Majestic series. Shimano packs a lot of features into a great budget rod series with the Majestic.

I only just received the 6’8″ model of this rod last week and fished it in my kayak this morning. I like the 2-piece aspect for easy transport, and used a 42″ Plano rod tube to protect it in the car. The instructions were in Chinese, but it’s a fishing rod — I think I’ll cope 🙂 The action worked well for me casting 6-7g Ned rigs and 1/8 oz lures. Nice finish, too. The only other ding I can think of is that it doesn’t appear to use Fuji components. Caught a nice big bucketmouth on it this morning which really tested the drag on my Zephyr BFS reel.

This rod is awesome! Small jigs, ned rigs, guide baits, I love it. I have the 6’4 and paired with a 1/16 Jackson jig and a TRD craw cut in half. I feel unstable! Landed many 6lb fish in high preasued water. Great rod quality, great customer service. This rod is a blast!

This rod is Great for my style of fishing, this is not an Ultralight rod. I’m throwing 1/8-1/4 oz chatterbaits, 1/8-1/4 oz spinnerbaits’ and 1/8-1/4 oz finesse jigs… I use soft plastic trailers on all my lures, so the weights increases lightly. I tested this in the backyard with a 1/16 oz Ned rig… and was casting 50ft easily, however it was windy on the lake and 1/16 didn’t work well. I was worried about the reel seat/handle ( no exposed blank) but it is fine (comfortable) with my Doviello Acura HICC-50 (8# co-polymer). this rod is super light, & very sensitive, I could feel the difference between grass, lily pad stems, wood, & rocky bottom or silty bottom. The length of the butt section hits my forearm just right during the fight (that’s a personal thing). I have only landed fish up to 1.5 #’s, but this rod feels stout, and I believe it can easily handle much, much more !! I am 110% satisfied and I highly recommend this one !! I haven’t tried anything with treble hooks yet !! Thanks Bait Finesse Empire & Fish On !!

A great rod for the price. Enjoy it so much I own 3 different versions. like the fast action ones the best. Good for down to the 3G range, definitely more of a “power” BFS rod. Probably would not be good if you plan on casting baits and plugs under the 3G range. Everything is nicely built for the price.

6′-4″ model is everything i was looking for in a bfs rod on a budget.

Throws 1/16 or 1.77g lures no problem even though its rated for 3-15g.

Outstanding grip as any Shimano rod would have in my opinion and balances nicely with my reel.

Very impressed with this rod. I have thrown from a 1/16 to 3/8 oz jigs, Texas rigs to jerkbaits caught crappie , bluegills , largies, huge branches and pike.

I do agree it’s more of a “power “ rod and it seems it’s sweet spot is an 1/8oz

I bought this rod (6’-4”)to be paired up with my shimano slx bfs using 15 lb braid

I ordered the 6’8″ Shimano Majestic bfs rod to go with my Kastking Zephyer as my first bfs setup to see wut its all about. My order arrived today. Bait Finess Empire shipped my order super quick and it arrived in 4 days, the rod was packaged very well it came in a 4 ft, or so, box with paper packing inside to keep the round cardboard tube that was inside the box from moving around, the cardboard tube was very strong and protected the rod exceptionally well. Inside the tube the 2 piece rod was placed inside the included Shimano bag and had bubble wrap around the ends of both pieces, wut I’m trying to say is, there was no way this rod was gonna get damaged durring shipping. A big thumbs up to BFE for that, BFE also threw in a Major Craft 7g./0.25oz Jigpara micro jig as a free gift! And a BFE sticker, Thank you BFE! As for the rod itself, it’s a super nice looking 2 piece rod, its supposed to be light power, fast action rod but it definitely seems pretty stiff for a light rod, which I am a lil disappointed about. Also I’m surprised that there is no opening on the underside of the Shimano reel seat to have contact with the blank for extra sensitivity, those are my only gripes but I can live with those issues. I’m not sure wut kinda guides are used, they kinda look like Fuji guides but I’m not sure to be honest. Overall I give the rod 4 out of 5 stars, I’m pretty satisfied with it, it will let me experience power bfs fishing and find out if it’s for me or not. wut I’m more impressed with is Bait Finess Empires ability to package and ship so quickly. I plan on ordering more from BFE. Definitely 5 stars for Bait Finess Empire.

This rod has been my favorite bfs rod for my Florida big bass bfs fishing. Landed a few 9lber so far. Matched up 6’8” with the curado bfs xg 🔥🖤🎣

I bought this rod because of the 2 piece design and the ease of packing it in the car for a family vacation. Out of the gate I was impressed and I fell in Love with this rod over a weeks worth of fishing. I caught over 30 fish, 4 Species ranging from 6 pound bass to rainbow trout. This rod handled them all with ease, it worked well for topwater, cranking, drop shoting, in line trout spinners etc. Highly versatile and an amazing rod and value. I rarely review tackle items however this rod really impressed me so I took the time to review it, in case anyone was on the fence about purchasing.

Excellent bait caster rod. Great balance of covering bass to panfish lures. Not too stiff or heavy action like common bait caster rods. Not to flimsy to be able to set the hook on larger fish.

  11. Travis Barriga

This rod has great sensitivity and is very accurate, even when casting finesse baits. Enough backbone for positive hooksets and handles everything from panfish to bass with no problem.
