Daiwa Steez AGS Bait Finesse Rod

Daiwa’s flagship rod lineup, the Steez AGS series, offers anglers industry-leading technologies and innovative design. A true gem in the lineup, the bait finesse rod, dubbed the “Finesse Game Special,” is a stand-out option for BFS anglers looking to step up to top-of-the-line equipment.

Constructed from an ultra-high modulus SVF Compile X blank that uses a higher volume of graphite fibers and less resin, creating a lighter, stronger, and more sensitive blank. Complimenting SVF Complie X is Daiwa’s Nanoplus technology, which allows for an even distribution of blank materials by utilizing a nanoalloy binding compound, giving maximum power and sensitivity. By also utilizing X45 and wrapping the last two layers of carbon tape at opposing 45-degree angles, blank twisting is prevented, ensuring a smooth transfer of power during casts and added durability when fighting fish. The “Finesse Game Special” bait finesse model also features Daiwa’s Megatop technology for added strength and sensitivity. The solid carbon tip allows for easy loading of lightweight lures with improved casting accuracy. The soft and limber characteristics of the Megatop also allow for excellent bite detection, allowing anglers to see their bites via movement of the rod tip.

Improved over previous generations, the new AGS Guides are truly some of the lightest and most sensitive guides in the world. With three times the rigidity of titanium, the carbon fiber frames offer extraordinary sensitivity, relaying micro-vibrations from the line through the blank. To capitalize on the added sensitivity of AGS guides, Daiwa paired the Steez AGS with their proprietary carbon fiber Air Sensor reel seat.
