From Jackall Japan’s Rooster Gear Market, the Spec.5 Area Casting rod is a versatile trout tournament spec rod series that allows anglers to change the length and power of the rod to meet the demands of the fishery. This multi-piece rod features a unique Convertible System, enabling it to be used in either a 4-piece or 5-piece configuration. Setupi in the shorter length 4pc configuration, the Spec.5 Area is best suited for the lightest lures and line class used for targeting stocked trout, such as micro spoons and feather jigs. When extra power is needed to target larger fish or to use heavier lures and increase casting distance, the included 5th piece (an additional 6″ length of butt section) can be installed. With the 5th piece installed, the Spec.5 offers additional casting distance and a significant increase in butt strength, allowing for a greater level of control and hook setting power.
The RGM Spec.5 Area rod blank is constructed from a composite of high-modulus carbon and fiberglass, allowing for the perfect balance of responsiveness, control, and sensitivity with easy loading for increased casting performance and the needed stickiness to keep fish pinned while using ultra-light lines. Paired with high-quality Fuji components, the Spec.5 Area delivers a premium fishing experience. Utilizing Fuji’s SKS split design reel seat, the overall weight is reduced, and sensitivity is increased. Stainless steel Fuji tangle-free guides with O rings are used to provide a smooth and trouble-free casting experience with excellent heat dissipation to help protect light lines. A semi-hard travel case with foam inserts is included to secure and protect the rod during transit.
