Jackson Salamander X

Amphibians such as newts and salamanders are a natural part of the diet of mountain stream fish, and the Jackson Salamander X is designed specifically to match this forage. The small 1.4″ body of the Salamander X is equipped with an oversized willow blade that imitates a large tail and recreates the natural swimming action of its namesake when worked in the shallow currents of creeks and streams. Salamander X is equipped with a size #12 micro-barbed treble hook at the belly and a size #8 barbless single hook at the rear that won’t interrupt the action of the blade. Designed for targeting Japanese mountain stream trout, Salamander X is equally effective on perch, panfish, smallmouth, and more.
