Designed in collaboration with Jimmy Ly of raWr Fishing, the all-new Ark Gravity BF-Avid Bait Finesse Reel delivers a simple and effective experience for anglers looking to pursue ultra-light BFS fishing without breaking the bank. Compared to the original Ark Gravity BFS reel, the Gravity BF-Avid features the new Gravity Control Brake LT System. This simpler non-dynamic braking system is easier for novice anglers to dial and avoid backlashes while offering a consistent braking curve throughout the duration of the cast for accurate pinpoint targeting in close-quarters fishing.
Equipped with a new 28mm diameter spool that reduces the spool weight to a mere 3.52g while featuring a floating shaft that disengages from the gears during casting, Ark Gravity BF-A is rated to consistently and accurately cast as low as 1g ( approx. 1/32oz) when equipped with a thin braided line at the rated capacity. To further reduce friction during casting and allow the spool to flow more freely, the spool and sideplate bearings have been upgraded to high-quality micro bearings. To enhance casting distance, a high-quality cone-shaped line guide is fitted, reducing line friction during the cast and allowing the line to flow from the spool with ease.
Coming in at only 5.5oz total weight, the Ark Gravity BF-A Reel is comfortable and lightweight, reducing angler fatigue and offering better balance with ultra-light class rods. Precision forged main gears and 6+1 ball bearings enhance the overall smoothness and durability. Outfitted with Ark’s carbon fiber drag system, the Gravity BF-Avid boasts 11lb of drag power to give anglers an extra piece of mind that they’ll have the stopping power needed when encountering the toughest fish while also enjoying the sweet pings of the audible drag clicker every time the line is pulled. Perfect for anglers targeting trout, bass, panfish, and more in mountain streams (keiryu bfs), ponds, or lakes, the Ark Gravity BF-Avid sets the new standard for budget bait finesse reels.
