The fast-floating balsa body is also excellent at snag avoidance by pausing and letting the lure quickly float upwards to avoid hangups on rocks, logs, and other underwater obstacles, making it an excellent choice for shallow cover cranking. To ensure consistent action and increased durability, the inner core of the bait features an “AXE FRAME” structure molded from extra-durable ABS material. This inner frame runs from the tail through to the bill of the bait and houses all the anchor points for the hooks and line tie, eliminating the slight variations and inconsistencies found in other balsa body crankbaits.
