Mukai Peratoopera O-Pera Topwater Wakebait

The Mukai O-Pera Wakebait, from the Mukai Peratoopera series, is a small pellet-shaped topwater lure designed to entice bites from wary and lethargic trout.

The wakebait lip allows for sub-surface presentations with a winding retrieve. O-Pera can be burned across open water to draw in active fish, while a stop-and-go presentation will often entice strikes from followers. O-Pera can also be worked with a twitching motion for an erratic action or with a smooth walk-the-dog retrieve to draw curious fish in from a distance.

The body design, inspired by trout feed pellets, is equally effective when not in motion, allowing O-Pera to be slowly drifted to draw bites from fish looking for an easy meal.
Single barbless JDM Mukai hooks are attached via double split rings, decreasing the chance of lost fish by reducing any leverage the fish has to throw the hooks.
