Jackall Peaceton 80/100 Ultralight A-Rig

A true finesse A-Rig from Jackall Japan, the Peacton combines the tried and true drawing power of the Alabama Rig with the bite-inducing rolling action of mid-strolling. Perfect for bait finesse (bfs) and spinning tackle, this “Bama-Strolling” rig is both manageable on light tackle and effective on big bass.

Jackall Peaceton is built around a strong central wire that ends with a soldered connection point for the clip and single jig head. The defining action comes from the free-sliding wire arms that allow the dummy baits to move differently than the main bait. With the hooked bait attached directly to the central wire, its movements are far more pronounced than those of the dummy bait, creating the illusion of a small fish separated from the school and triggering reactive feeding bites from the bass.

The included jighead is constructed from a high-quality tungsten alloy and is equipped with a soft PET material bait keeper. Connected via a clip, it has a free-swinging action for more drawing power and can also be easily swapped, allowing anglers to use their favorite jig heads with Peaceton. Available in two weight options to cover the entire water column. The 1/32oz (0/9g) option is best suited for working Peacton right at the surface, while the 1/16oz (1.8g) option allows the rig to sink more quickly and can be used to reach any depth. The main wire is also available in two different length options, allowing for a tighter or more spread-out swimming profile.

Two different-style swimbaits (three pcs of each style, for a total of six baits) are included with Peaceton. Both are 2.8″ in length, just the right size to draw in bigger bass while maintaining a finesse profile. The Peacton Shad features a kicking paddle tail for more lively action, and the Peaceton Fry features a more subtle action split tail design. Anglers can mix and match these baits to achieve different actions from the dummy and main baits, increasing the appeal of the rig. Included with Peaceton is a sheet of sticker eyes that can be applied to the soft baits for extra lifelike appeal. We suggest using the eye on the main bait to help it draw more attention while keeping the dummy bait eyeless. A small dab of glue can also be used to help secure the eyes more firmly to the bait.

To secure the dummy baits to the rig, a double barbed wire keep is used at both ends of the free-sliding wire. Simply slide the wire keeper into the nose of the bait to secure it in place. This design holds the baits firmly so that they do not tear off during intense fights.
